Outer Mirror Assembly: Removal
CAUTION:
Before handling the airbag system components, refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION

NOTE:
For removal procedures of outer mirror cover and mirror face, refer to GLASS/WINDOW/MIRRORS>Outer Mirror Assembly>DISASSEMBLY .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the trim panel front door. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Door Trim>REMOVAL>FRONT DOOR .
- Turn over the front sealing cover.CAUTION:
- Carefully remove the butyl tape. Excessive force will easily break the front sealing cover.
- If the front sealing cover gets broken, replace it with a new part.
- Be careful not to allow the butyl tape to contact any trims and seats because the butyl tape, which has a strong adhesive force, is difficult to remove once it has adhered.
- Remove the connector clip that is installed on the panel assembly front door, and disconnect the connector.
- Carefully remove and turn over the front sealing cover within the area where the operation can be performed.
- Remove the outer mirror assembly.
