Chain Cover: Disassembly

  1. Remove the oil filler cap.

  2. Remove the engine oil filter and the oil pump union. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>OIL FILTER>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the oil pressure switch. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>OIL PRESSURE SWITCH>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the engine oil temperature sensor.

    Gasoline engine model: 

    Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR>REMOVAL .

    Hybrid model: 

    Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO(HEV))>ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR>REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the oil control solenoid.

    Gasoline engine model: 

    Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>OIL CONTROL SOLENOID>REMOVAL .

    Hybrid model: 

    Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO(HEV))>OIL CONTROL SOLENOID>REMOVAL .

  6. Remove the camshaft position sensor.

    Gasoline engine model: 

    Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR>REMOVAL .

    Hybrid model: 

    Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO(HEV))>CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR>REMOVAL .
