Outback Model

CAUTION: Make sure that the harness grommet of the garnish assembly is securely installed. If not properly installed, this may cause leaks.
  1. Install the cord assembly as shown in the figure.
    NOTE: The illustration shows the model with tail light. For the model without tail light, perform the procedure by referring to the illustration below.

  2. Install a new gasket to the light assembly finisher rear.
  3. Install the light assembly finisher rear.

    Tightening torque: 

    4.5 N.m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.3 ft-lb)

  4. Install the garnish assembly rear gate. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE GARNISH>INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the trim panel assembly rear gate LWR. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE TRIM>INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
