DTC B260C: Control Module Communication Stuck
DTC detecting condition:
When stuck in register of CAN controller is detected.
Trouble symptom:
The following functions do not operate. (CAN bus communication shut down)
- Manual electric retraction function (operation possible in driver's side, and not possible in passenger's side)
- Automatic electric retraction function
- Mirror surface angle manual adjustment function
- Mirror surface angle memory restoration function
- Mirror surface angle memory function
- Reverse-linked mirror surface angle memory restoration function
- Door courtesy light illumination
- Mirror heater operation
- Remote control mirror switch light illumination
CAUTION:
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to POWER SEAT MEMORY SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION

- CHECK DTC
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the outer mirror control module (driver's seat) and outer mirror control module (passenger's seat) connectors.
- Connect the disconnected connectors.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Door Mirror (Driver)] and [Door Mirror (Passenger)]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY

- Door Mirror (Passenger)
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTCs of [Door Mirror (Driver)] and [Door Mirror (Passenger)]. Ref. to Door Mirror (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
- Door Mirror (Driver)
- Door Mirror (Passenger)
Is DTC B260C displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Replace the outer mirror control module that displays DTC B260C. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOW/MIRRORS>OUTER MIRROR CONTROL MODULE .
No : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
