DTC B260C: Control Module Communication Stuck

DTC detecting condition: 

When stuck in register of CAN controller is detected.

Trouble symptom: 

The following functions do not operate. (CAN bus communication shut down)

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to POWER SEAT MEMORY SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect the outer mirror control module (driver's seat) and outer mirror control module (passenger's seat) connectors.
    3. Connect the disconnected connectors.
    4. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Door Mirror (Driver)] and [Door Mirror (Passenger)]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
      • Door Mirror (Driver)
      • Door Mirror (Passenger)
      • Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      • Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTCs of [Door Mirror (Driver)] and [Door Mirror (Passenger)]. Ref. to Door Mirror (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
      • Door Mirror (Driver)
      • Door Mirror (Passenger)

      Is DTC B260C displayed? (Current malfunction)

      Yes  : Replace the outer mirror control module that displays DTC B260C. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOW/MIRRORS>OUTER MIRROR CONTROL MODULE .

      No  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and perform the diagnosis again.

      NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
