Check Output

  1. Check the voltage between connector terminals.

    Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
    2 - 3 Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 (+) - 3 (-).
    When the end of stop light switch is pressed in to make the length (a) 3.6 mm (0.14 in) (actually a little shorter than 3.6 mm (0.14 in)), output voltage will be OFF.
    0.5 V or less
    Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 (+) - 3 (-).
    When the end of stop light switch is pulled back to make the length (a) 3.6 mm (0.14 in) (actually a little longer than 3.6 mm (0.14 in)), output voltage will be ON.
    12 V
    4 - 3 Apply battery voltage between terminals 5 (+) - 3 (-).
    When the end of stop light switch is pressed in to make the length (a) 4.5 mm (0.18 in) (actually a little shorter than 4.5 mm (0.18 in)), output voltage will be ON.
    12 V
    Apply battery voltage between terminals 5 (+) - 3 (-).
    When the end of stop light switch is pulled back to make the length (a) 4.5 mm (0.18 in) (actually a little longer than 4.5 mm (0.18 in)), output voltage will be OFF.
    0.5 V or less
  2. Replace the stop light switch assembly if the inspection result is not within the standard value.
