Transmission Case: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the secondary speed sensor. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>SECONDARY SPEED SENSOR>REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the transmission harness. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>TRANSMISSION HARNESS>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the control device. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>TRANSMISSION CONTROL DEVICE>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the reduction driven gear. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>REDUCTION DRIVEN GEAR>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the CVTF pipe using a flat tip screwdriver wrapped with protection tape.
    NOTE: Engage a flat tip screwdriver tip to the stepped portion of CVTF pipe.

  6. Remove the bolt securing the transmission case.

  7. Remove the transmission case using a plastic hammer and a crowbar wrapped with protection tape at the points shown in the figure.

  8. Remove the application pressure pipe (A), and remove the O-rings from the application pressure pipe (A), release pressure pipe (B) and lubrication pipe (C).
    NOTE: The application pressure pipe (A) may remain in the transmission case side.

  9. Remove the liquid gasket from the transmission case and converter case.
