Extension Case: Disassembly

Remove the dust cover.

Remove the snap ring from the transfer clutch piston using the ST and a press.
Preparation tool:

ST: COMPRESSOR SPECIAL TOOL (18762AA001)

Remove the clutch spring retainer, return spring and spring retainer.

Blow compressed air through the hole shown in the figure, and remove the transfer clutch piston.

Remove the D-ring and O-ring from the transfer clutch piston.

Remove the pressure plate and ball bearing.

Remove the extension case oil seal. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>EXTENSION CASE OIL SEAL>REPLACEMENT
Remove the plug.
