Adjusting Float Level & Final Assembly

  1. To adjust float level, measure distance between float and air horn without gasket. Float level should be .31" (7.9 mm). Adjust float level by bending tab on float. See Fig 1 .

  2. Install primary and secondary slow air bleeds in air horn. Apply silicone grease to mixture control solenoid valve seal. Install new air horn gasket. Install air horn to main body. Install accelerator pump lever. Check accelerator pump lever for smooth operation.
  3. Ensure vacuum hose are installed correctly. See Figure . Ensure microswitch wiring harness is secured. Remove the pin locking fast idle cam that was installed before disassembly.
