Torque Specifications

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS: ABS MODULATOR - Remove And Replace

Description Torque Value Recommended Tools Reuse/Replace Notes
Nuts that attach the ABS modulator to the bracket 8 N.m (5.9 ft-lbs) 
  • 10 mm deep socket
  • 2 in extension
Reuse  
Bolts that attach the ABS modulator to the LH frame rail 10 N.m (7.4 ft-lbs) 
  • 10 mm socket
  • 6 in extension
  • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
Reuse  
Bolt that attaches the steering gear assembly to the intermediate shaft assembly 18 N.m (13.3 ft-lbs) 
  • 13 mm socket
Reuse  
Master cylinder primary pipe nut to the ABS modulator 16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs) 
  • 12 mm flare nut wrench
  • 12 mm flare nut crowfoot socket
  • 6 in extension
Reuse  
Master cylinder secondary pipe nut to the ABS modulator 16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs) 
  • 12 mm flare nut wrench
  • 12 mm flare nut crowfoot socket
  • 6 in extension

LH front brake pipe nut to the ABS modulator 16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs) 
  • 12 mm flare nut wrench
  • 12 mm flare nut crowfoot socket

RH rear brake pipe nut to the ABS modulator 16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs) 
  • 12 mm flare nut wrench
  • 12 mm flare nut crowfoot socket
