Module - Body Controller - Security - Remove And Replace: Remove

- Open the LH front door and lower the front windows.
- Move the driver seat rearward.
- Remove the LH sun visor bezel A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Sun Visor Bezel - LH (Remove and Replace)
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH upper A-pillar trim to the vehicle.
Tip:
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
- Remove the screw that attaches the LH upper A-pillar trim to the vehicle.
Tip:
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 20 mm socket
- Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH upper A-pillar trim to the vehicle.
Tip:
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Release the clips (x6) that attach the LH upper A-pillar trim to the A-pillar, and then move the trim aside to gain access to the headliner.
- Remove the screw that attaches the LH front of the headliner to the vehicle.
2 N.m (1.5 ft-lbs)
Tip:
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- Open the RH front door.
- Repeat step 2 through step 8 for the RH side of the vehicle.
- Release the clips (x4) that attach the front portion of headliner to the body, and then release the front edge of the headliner from the body.
- Disconnect the security body controller module electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt that attaches the security body controller module to the vehicle.
9 N.m (6.6 ft-lbs)
NOTE: The bolt is captive inside the controller housing and cannot be removed.Tip:
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket
- Release the clip and guide pin that attach the security body controller module to the vehicle, and then remove the module from the vehicle.
