Steering Columns: Description

The steering shaft assembly incorporates a main steering shaft and intermediate shaft. The intermediate shaft is connected at the lower end to the steering gear housing by a universal joint and at the upper end to the steering main shaft by a universal joint and a sliding joint. These joints are provided to allow a complete flexible mount between the frame and body, which improves steering ability.
