Steering Columns: Overhaul: Disassembly

  1. Remove bearing retainer, snap rings and upper bracket from column tube. Remove steering shaft from column tube.
  2. Separate flexible coupling from steering shaft. Remove floor pan cover-to-column tube bolts and remove floor pan cover. Remove column tube seal from lower end of column tube.
