Use the chart below to determine SAE viscosity by temperature range anticipated before next oil change:

Temperature Range Viscosity

40° F and Above 30

Between 10° F and 60° F 20

10° F and Above 20W-40 or 20W-50

-10° F and Above 10W-30, 10W-40 or 10W-50

50° F and Below 5W-30
