Fuel Injected Models

  1. Engine must be at normal operating temperature. Unplug fuel injection solenoid resistor wire connector. Solenoid resistor is located on front of left shock tower on Camry models. On Van models, it is on left side of engine (under driver's seat).
  2. Disconnect electrical connector at cold start injector. Remove spark plugs and coil wire. Check compression with throttle wide open and engine at cranking speed.

Normal Compression Pressure 178 psi (12.5 kg/cm2 )
Minimum Compression Pressure 128 psi (9.0 kg/cm2 )
