Control Switch

The control switch has an ON-OFF switch type circuit. When the control switch is turned to the "SET" position, the "SET/MEMORY" light (if equipped) illuminates. With the switch on "SET", the controller cancels the preset vehicle speed. Canceling set speed may also be accomplished by depressing brake or clutch pedal, by putting automatic transmission selector in Neutral, by dropping below approximately 25 MPH or by pulling parking brake. If equipped, the "SET" light goes off, but "MEMORY" light stays on.

The control switch has a "RESUME" position, which is designed to increase the set speed, or return it to the speed at which the vehicle was previously being driven before the set speed was canceled.

Pushing the control switch to the "ACCEL" position causes the vehicle speed to increase continuously. When released, speed will be set at the speed the vehicle is currently traveling.
