Neutral Start Switch Test
- Turn ignition on and check switch by checking for continuity between terminal 3 (Corolla RWD and Van) or 2 (all others) and body ground. If none, check for open in the circuit. If yes, check computer. Inspect neutral start switch circuit of computer by disconnecting computer and checking for continuity between terminal 14 (Pickup, 4Runner and Van) or 11 (all others) and ground when transmission is shifted to "N".
- If there is continuity, replace computer. If not, check for open between terminal 11 or 14 (as applicable) and terminal 3 (Celica and Supra), 4 (Corolla), 1 (Pickup, 4Runner and Cressida) or 2 (Van) of neutral start switch. Inspect switch.
