Speed Sensor And Actuator Test
- Inspect ground connection by disconnecting connector from combination meter and checking for continuity between terminal 22 (Celica and Supra), 19 (Pickup, 4Runner and Corolla RWD), 17 (Cressida), 8 (Corolla FWD) or 3 (Van) of harness side connector and body ground. If none, there is an open or bad body ground.
- If there was continuity in step 1), inspect speed sensor for normal operation. If not normal, replace speed sensor. If speed sensor is normal, check actuator operation. If not normal, replace. If normal, replace computer.
