ECM Testing

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove glove box. Start engine and let idle. With PPS harness connector still connected to ECM, check that there is no voltage between terminals "SOL+" and "SOL-".
  2. Place transmission in a forward gear to allow a speed of about 31 MPH. Measure voltage between terminals "SOL+" and "SOL-". Voltage should be 2.1-4.1 volts. If not, replace ECM. Retest system. Turn ignition off. Install glove box. Lower vehicle.
