On-Vehicle Inspection of Relay Circuit

Disconnect the relay connect and inspect the connector on the wire harness side as shown in the table below. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check that the solenoid operates lock direction. If circuit is correct, replace the relay.

Continuity 7-Ground Turn door lock sw. to LOCK Continuity
Continuity 7-Ground Door lock sw.: Except LOCK No Continuity
Voltage 8-Ground Turn ign. sw. on Battery Voltage
Voltage 8-Ground Ign. sw. off, except LOCK No Voltage
Continuity 9-Ground Turn LH and/or R/H door courtesy sw. on Continuity
Continuity 9-Ground Turn LH and/or R/H door courtesy sw. off No Continuity
Continuity 10-Ground " Continuity
Voltage 12-Ground Push the following switches One by one to Up or Down: Master Switch; Door Switch (Window Lock Switch to unlock) Continuity
Voltage 12-Ground Push the Master sw. to neutral position No Continuity
Voltage 12-Ground Push the door switch to neutral position or window lock switch to LOCK No Continuity
