Float Level

  1. Install valve seat over a new gasket into fuel inlet. Install needle valve, spring and plunger onto the seat. Install float and pivot pin. Allow float to hang by its weight. The distance between float and bottom of air horn (without gasket installed) should be 0.169" or 4.3 mm. See Fig 1 and Fig 2. If not within specification, bend float lip.

  2. Lift float and measure clearance between needle valve plunger and float lip. It should be 0.035-0.043" or (.9-1.1 mm). Bend float lip if not within specification. After adjusting float level, remove float, plunger, spring and needle valve. Install pin clip on needle valve. Replace float and needle assemblies.
