Ignition System: Distributor: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. On 2.0L Turbo, remove intercooler. To remove intercooler, see TURBOCHARGER  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM.
  2. On all engines, disconnect spark plug wires from distributor cap. Disconnect distributor wiring connector. Remove distributor hold-down bolt(s). Remove distributor. Remove "O" ring from distributor housing and discard.
