Fuel Injectors & Fuel Rails: Installation

  1. Lightly lubricate "O" rings with gasoline. Install new "O" rings and insulator to each injector. Ensure "O" rings are not twisted or inverted.
  2. Push injector into fuel rail by hand. Ensure injector connectors are positioned along center line of fuel rail. Install insulator to each injector. Install injector covers.
  3. Install insulators to fuel rail. Install injectors with fuel rail to cylinder head. Tighten fuel rail bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Check for fuel leaks.
