Ignition System: Distributor: Removal
- Disconnect spark plug wires. Disconnect distributor connector. Remove distributor cap and dust-proof packing. Turn crankshaft until No. 1 cylinder is in compression stroke and timing mark aligns with TDC mark on timing case cover.
- Check that distributor rotor points toward direction shown. See Fig 1. If not, turn crankshaft pulley one complete revolution. Remove distributor hold-down bolts. Remove distributor. Remove "O" ring from distributor housing and discard.
