Ignition System: Distributor: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable. Remove 3 mounting bolts for air intake connector and remove it. Record positions of spark plugs wires in distributor cap. Disconnect spark plugs wires from distributor cap, using small screwdriver to release clips. Disconnect distributor electrical connector.
  2. Set cylinder No. 1 to TDC of compression stroke. Remove distributor hold-down bolt and remove distributor. Remove "O" ring from distributor housing and discard.
