Cam Position Sensor: Installation
- Coat NEW "O" ring with oil and install into cam position sensor housing. Align groove on sensor housing with drilled mark on driven gear. See Fig 1.
- Install cam position sensor with housing flange mounting hole aligned with bolt hole on cylinder head. Snug tighten cam position sensor hold-down bolt. Install power steering reservoir. Install air cleaner hose, air cleaner cap, and airflow meter assembly. Install smaller hoses to air cleaner hoses. Install top air intake pipe and hoses.
- Connect cam position sensor connector. Connect battery negative cable. Set ignition timing. Tighten cam position sensor hold-down bolt to 10 ft. lbs. (14 N.m).
