Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain coolant. Disconnect cruise control actuator, accelerator and throttle cables from throttle body linkage. Disconnect air cleaner, No. 2 PCV, EVAP, vacuum and No. 2 coolant by-pass hoses from throttle body. Disconnect throttle position sensor connector. Disconnect IAC valve connector from throttle body.
  2. Remove 4 bolts and disconnect throttle body from air intake chamber. Lift throttle body enough to remove gasket and disconnect No. 2 coolant by-pass hoses. Remove throttle body.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten 4 throttle body bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m). Fill with coolant. Connect negative battery cable. Check for fuel leakage. See CHECKING FOR FUEL LEAKS.
