Fuel Pump Resistor
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect fuel pump resistor electrical connector. See FUEL PUMP RESISTOR LOCATION table.NOTE: Fuel pump resistor may also be identified using appropriate illustration in THEORY/OPERATION article. On MR2 Turbo, ensure proper resistor is checked, as fuel injector solenoid resistor is located near fuel pump resistor.
- Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between fuel pump resistor electrical terminals. See Fig 1. Replace fuel pump resistor if resistance is not about .73 ohm.
