Removal & Installation (2.4L)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air intake connector tube from throttle body. Drain coolant. Disconnect accelerator cable from throttle body linkage.
  2. Label and disconnect A/C VSV idle-up vacuum hose, PCV hose, and 2 coolant by-pass hoses from throttle body. Label and disconnect emission control hoses from throttle body.
  3. Unplug throttle position sensor connector. Remove 3 bolts, one nut, throttle body and gasket.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten throttle body nut and 3 bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m). Fill with coolant. Connect negative battery cable. Check for fuel leakage. See CHECKING FOR FUEL LEAKS.
