Removal (3.0L)

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Record spark plug wire locations in distributor cap and remove wires. Remove distributor cap and dust-proof packing seal ring. Disconnect distributor electrical connector.
- Set cylinder No. 1 to TDC of compression stroke. Ensure distributor rotor points in direction shown. See Fig 1. Remove distributor hold-down bolt. Remove distributor. Remove "O" ring from distributor housing and discard.
