Installation (Non-Turbo)
- Remove No. 3 timing belt cover and oil filler cap. To verify No. 1 cylinder is at TDC, camshaft timing marks should be aligned with timing marks on No. 4 timing belt cover. If timing marks are not lined up, rotate crankshaft one complete revolution (360 degrees) and align marks.

- Coat NEW "O" ring with oil and install onto distributor housing. Align groove on distributor housing with protrusion on top of drive gear teeth. See Fig 1. Install distributor, aligning distributor flange mounting hole with bolt hole in cylinder head. Install and snug tighten distributor hold-down bolt. Connect distributor electrical connector.
- Install spark plug wires. Connect negative battery cable. Set ignition timing. Tighten distributor hold-down bolt. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE at the end of this article.
