Circuit Description
The CTS is a thermistor that monitors water temperature. CTS is located next to thermostat housing. Code is set when ECM detects a open or short circuit. Possible causes are:
- CTS open or short circuit.
- CTS malfunction.
- ECM malfunction.
NOTE:
If Codes 22, 24, 31 and 41 are output together, inspect ECM terminal E2 (ground) circuit. Repair as needed. See wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS - 2.4L
