Code Detection Test Drive

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Remove EFI (15-amp) fuse for at least 10 seconds. Reinstall fuse. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Snap accelerate engine 3 times to 4000 RPM. Run engine at 2000 RPM for 2 minutes. Turn ignition off for at least 10 seconds. Start engine and allow engine to idle for 2 minutes.
  3. Snap accelerate engine 3 times to 4000 RPM. Run engine at 2000 RPM for 2 minutes. Turn ignition off. If malfunction exists, MIL will illuminate while performing step 3).
