Circuit Description

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), driven by the transmission, outputs a signal to combination meter. Combination meter converts signal to a more precise waveform for ECM. Code is set when ECM does not detect any signal while vehicle is in motion. Possible causes are:

• VSS open or short circuit.
• VSS failure.
• Combination meter.
• ECM.
