Code Detection Test Drive

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Remove EFI (15-amp) fuse for at least 10 seconds. Reinstall fuse. Using jumper wire, connect DLC1 terminals TE2 and E1. See Figure. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Accelerate and test drive vehicle at 50-60 MPH for 10 minutes. Stop vehicle and turn ignition of for 1-2 minutes. Start vehicle and accelerate at full throttle to 60 MPH. If malfunction exists, MIL will illuminate during 2nd test drive.
