Circuit Description

The CTS sensor is a thermistor sensor that monitors water temperature. CTS sensor is located on side of cylinder head next to upper radiator hose connection. Harness connector color is Green. Code is set when ECM detects a open or short circuit. Possible causes are:

CTS sensor open or short circuit.
CTS sensor malfunction.
ECM malfunction.

NOTE: If Codes P0105, P0106, P0110, P0115 and P0120 are output together, inspect ECM terminal E2 (ground) circuit. Repair as needed. See wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
