INTRODUCTION

The front passenger side power window switch (P/N 84810-12080) may not operate due to lubrication from the wire harness contaminating the window switch contacts. TMMC changed lubricants from silicone to oil based beginning with the Vehicle Identification Numbers listed in the table below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Replace the Power Window Switch, part number 84810-12080. See Fig 1.

NOTE: The lubrication used on the wire harness dries shortly after assembly preventing any further contamination of the window switch. The part number has not been changed.
