Test 14, Trouble Code Circuit

  1. Locate Black Data Link Connector (DLC) on passenger side strut tower in engine compartment. Connect voltmeter positive lead to terminal Tc and negative lead to terminal E1. See Figure. Turn ignition on and ensure battery voltage exists between terminals. If voltage is as specified, go to test for next trouble code displayed or appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING BY SYMPTOM .
  2. If battery voltage is not present, ensure no short or open exists in harness or connectors between CC ECU and DLC, or between DLC and ground. If harness and connectors are okay, replace CC ECU and retest system. If harness and connectors are not okay, repair as necessary and retest system.
