Fuel Pressure Regulator: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . On turbo models, remove throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY  under FUEL system.
  2. On all models, disconnect vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator, located on end of fuel rail. Remove fuel return line-to-fuel pressure regulator union bolt and disconnect fuel return line with gaskets from fuel rail.
  3. Remove fuel pressure regulator with "O" ring from fuel rail. Remove "O" ring from fuel pressure regulator.
