Test Drive Confirmation

  1. Connect scan tool. See Figure. Start and warm engine to normal operating temperature. Operate vehicle at 38-50 MPH for 3 minutes or more. Stop vehicle and allow to idle for about 2 minutes. Turn ignition off.
  2. Start engine and allow to idle. Operate vehicle at 38-50 MPH for 3 minutes or more. Stop vehicle and allow to idle for about 2 minutes.
  3. Using scan tool, check READINESS TESTS. If COMPL is displayed on scan tool and MIL is not illuminated, system is normal. If INCMPL is displayed and MIL is not illuminated, repeat test drive procedure.
NOTE: If DTC P0105, P0106 and P0401 are output simultaneously, perform DTC P0105  circuit test first. If DTC P0401 and P0402 are output simultaneously, perform DTC P0402  circuit test before performing DTC P0401 test.
