Wiper Switch Intermittent Operation Test

  1. Turn wiper switch to INT position. Connect jumper wire between battery voltage and combination switch connector terminal No. 17. See Figure. Connect jumper wire between ground and combination switch connector terminal No. 2.
  2. Connect positive lead of DVOM to combination switch connector terminal No. 7. Connect negative lead to combination switch connector terminal No. 2. Battery voltage should be indicated.
  3. Monitor DVOM readings. Connect fused jumper between combination switch connector terminals No. 16 and 17. With No. 16 and 17 jumpered, connect fused jumper between terminals No. 2 and 16. DVOM reading should rise from zero to battery voltage in 2-4 seconds. If operation is not as specified, replace wiper/washer switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH R & I  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
