Test 19: Tailgate Control Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check tailgate control switch. See TAILGATE SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, go to step  2. If switch is faulty, replace switch.
  2. Check wiring and connectors between switch and back door ECU. Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  3. If connectors or wiring are faulty, repair as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next test listed in appropriate SYMPTOM INDEX table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
