Test 22: Window Limit Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check window limit switch. See POWER WINDOWS article for 1999 models and POWER WINDOWS article for 2000 models. If window limit switch operates properly, go to step  2. If window limit switch is faulty, replace switch.
  2. Check for faulty connectors and wiring between window limit switch and back door ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If rear window limit switch and circuit are okay, go to next test listed in appropriate SYMPTOM INDEX table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
