Test No. 1: Ecu Power Source Circuit: Testing

  1. Check ECU-B1 fuse (20-amp) located in engine room junction block. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is open, locate and repair short circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Replace fuse.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect body ECU harness connectors. Measure voltage between body ECU harness connector I21 terminals No. 1 and 4. See Figure. If voltage is 10-14 volts, go to next test listed. See appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMPTOMS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If voltage is not 10-14 volts, go to next step.
  3. Check for faulty wiring and connectors between body ECU harness connector I21 terminal No. 4 and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair ground circuit as necessary. If ground circuit is okay, repair wiring or connectors between battery and body ECU.
