Test No. 18: Body Electronic Control Unit

NOTE: Perform this test only when directed from a testing procedure or trouble shooting table. Fault may be intermittent. Ensure fault symptom is present before replacing body Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
  1. Check body ECU pin voltage values. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS  under COMPONENT TESTS. If all pin voltage values are within specifications, go to next step. If any pin voltage values are not within specifications, repair appropriate circuit as necessary.
  2. Disconnect body ECU harness connectors. Check for loose, pushed out, deformed or corroded terminals. Repair connector(s) as necessary. Reconnect body ECU harness connectors and retest system. If symptom still exists, replace body ECU.
