Test No. 9: Door Courtesy Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check operation of appropriate door courtesy switch. If door courtesy switch operates properly, go to next step. If door courtesy switch does not operate properly, go to next step.
  2. Check for faulty ground at switch. Repair ground as necessary. If ground is okay, check connectors and wiring between appropriate door courtesy switch and body Electronic Control Unit (ECU). See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  3. Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next test listed. See appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMPTOMS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
