Front Washer Switch Operation Test: Echo

  1. Disconnect combination switch connector. Connect fused jumper between battery voltage and terminal No. 8 (switch-side). Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 5. See Figure. Connect DVOM positive lead to terminal No. 7 and negative lead to terminal No. 5.
  2. Depress washer switch and monitor DVOM voltage readings should go from zero volts to battery voltage within one second of depressing washer switch. After switch is released, readings should change from battery voltage to zero volts in about 3 seconds. If readings are not as specified, replace wiper/washer switch.
