Inspection Procedure

  1. Check POWER and JCB M-fuses, and MPX-B and ECU-IG fuses. 

    CHECK: 

    Check the continuity of the POWER and JCB M-fuses, and MPX-B and ECU-IG fuse.

    OK: Continuity 

    1. NG: Replace failure fuse. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. Check voltage between terminals POWE/ECU-B/IG and GND of back door ECU connector. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage between terminals IG and GND.

    OK: Voltage: 10-14 V 

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect the back door ECU connector. CHECK:

    Measure the voltage between terminals POWE/ECU-B and GND.

    OK: Voltage: 10-14 V 

    1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  3. Check harness and connector between back door ECU and body ground ( ). 
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Check and repair harness and connector between back door ECU and battery.
