Test No. 67: Power Door Lock System Does Not Operate When Using Manual Switch

  1. Check passenger's door Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and body ECU for proper voltage and input signals. See PASSENGER'S DOOR ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT  and BODY ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT  under PIN VOLTAGE TESTS. If proper voltage and input signals exist, go to next step. If proper voltage or input signal does not exist, repair as necessary and recheck power door lock system operation.
  2. Replace passenger's door ECU or body ECU as necessary with a known-good ECU and recheck power door lock system operation. If power door lock system operates properly, original ECU was defective. If power door lock system still does not operate properly, check wiring harness and electrical connectors for an intermittent problem. Repair wiring harness or electrical connector as necessary.
