Inspection Procedure

  1. Check voltage between terminals Tc and E 1  of DLC1 or Tc and CG of DLC3. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK: 

    Measure voltage between terminal Tc and E1 of DLC1 or Tc and CG of DLC3.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 
    1. OK: If ABS warning light does not blink even after Tc and E 1  of DLC1 or Tc and CG of DLC3 are connected, the ECU may be defective. 
    2. NG: Go to next step 
  2. Ignition switch OFF, and check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between ABS ECU and DLC1 or DLC3, DLC1 or DLC3 and body ground  .
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector  .
    2. OK: Check and replace ABS ECU  .
