Door Unlock Detection Switch
- Remove door panel for access to appropriate door lock assembly on driver's door or passenger's door which contains the door lock motor and door unlock detection switch. See Figure.
- Disconnect the 6-pin electrical connector at door lock assembly. Note electrical terminal identification on door lock assembly and switch positions. See Fig 1.
- On driver's door, using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 2 with switch in LOCK position and that continuity between terminals No. 1 and 2 with switch in UNLOCK position. See Fig 1. On passenger's door, using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between terminals No. 5 and 6 with switch in LOCK position and that continuity between terminals No. 5 and 6 with switch in UNLOCK position. See Fig 1. On all applications, replace door unlock detection switch if continuity is not as specified.
